MEETINGS

The Parish Council meet on the third Monday of every month at the Community Hall in Victoria Gardens. The meeting starts at 7.30 pm. and time is set aside for villagers and members of the public to put forward their views on any matter relating to the Parish of Wattisfield.  Alternatively you can contact the Parish Clerk, the Chairman or any of the Councillors direct.





Freedom of Information Act (2000)

It was resolved that the Council adopts the Model Publication Scheme for Local Council (Core Classes only)  and the following classes and documents will be made available to the Public:

1) COUNCIL INTERNAL PRACTICE AND PROCEDURE
Minute Book - limited to the last 2 years.
Procedural Standing Orders
Councils Annual Report to Parish Meeting
6) AUDIT AND ACCOUNTS
Annual return form
Annual Statutory report by auditor (internal or external)
Receipt/Payment books, Receipt books of all kinds, Bank Statements from all accounts.

Financial Regulations and Standing Orders including those dealing with the award of contracts.
Assets register - this will include details of commons/village greens owned by the council including management schemes for commons as well as village halls, community centres and recreation grounds.

Exclusions - all commercially sensitive information e.g. quotations and tenders, loan documentation and insurance policies. With regard to quotations and tenders, under data protection law ( and in some cases standing orders) this information is treated as confidential to ensure that the whole tender process is fair i.e. if tender information is released to a third party prior to the end of the tender period those who initially submitted tenders could be undercut and/or unfairly disadvantaged.
